Build a website yourself, or have it built?
There are two ways to get one. With a website builder, you make it: you choose a design, then write and arrange every part, by hand or with help. With TradeEasy, you answer questions about your trade, and it’s written and laid out for you.
We make TradeEasy, so we’re one side of this. Every fact about Wix below is from its own pages, with a link and the day we read it.
What Wix says
You can pick from 2000+ templates or start from scratch, and build your website by drag and drop.
Its AI website builder goes “from prompt to website in minutes”.
You can “move and adjust any element with pixel-level precision”.
There’s a free plan. A Premium plan is what lets you connect a domain you own, among other things.
“Prices and currency vary by location”, its plans page says, so we haven’t quoted one.
You can hire a freelance web developer through the Wix Marketplace.
What a TradeEasy website is
- A website made for tradespeople and nobody else, at yourname.tradeeasy.uk.
- You answer questions about your trade, the jobs you do and where you work. It’s written and laid out from your answers in a few minutes, and nothing on it is made up.
- There’s no drag and drop. You change your words and photos, or pick another design, and ask us for anything else.
- You can cancel any month. There’s no contract.
Free to look. £19 a month to go live, for six months, then £29.
Which one, then?
- You want to choose every detail yourself.
- That’s what a website builder is for.
- You’d rather answer some questions and read what comes back.
- That’s what we do. Looking is free, and you’ll see yours in a few minutes.
- You want somebody to build it for you.
- On Wix, its own Marketplace is the place to look. Or we build it for you: tell us about your business, or give us your old website, and yours is made for you, so there’s nobody to find. We build it for you
Have a look before you decide.
