Hi, I’m Sean.
I’m building TradeEasy. You answer a few minutes of questions, and TradeEasy writes your website from your answers and nothing else. I’m here to answer a few of your questions.
I’ve built two versions of this page. You can choose to read the shorter or longer version.
This is me
I live in West Sussex. My dad, Clive, is a first and second fix carpenter. Over the years I’ve done a ton of work with him and various other tradesmen.
The other half of me is software. I started as an apprentice web developer in October 2014, when I was 18, and I’ve built websites and software for a living ever since. I always wanted to put the two together, which leads me on to this.
Why I’m doing this
My dad’s never had a website. His work comes by word of mouth, and he’s got enough of it not to need one. He still wishes he’d had one back then.
Time and time again I’ve heard from tradesmen that they wished it was easier and cheaper to get online. I actually have the ability to solve it.
What I see
AI can write you a website now. Left to itself, it’ll give you twelve years’ experience and a Gas Safe number you never had. The key is making it tell the truth.
It’s cheap because it can be. There isn’t a catch.
How I’m building it
It’s just me, full-time, and I build TradeEasy with AI. I write the rules down, and automatic checks make sure the code follows them.
A change to TradeEasy never changes a word of yours. Only you do that, by pressing publish.
What I won’t do
These three are on the front page, and I sign them.
- Nothing on your website is made up.
- Nothing goes on the internet until you have read it and pressed publish.
- Stop paying and the site comes down, not away.
A personal message
In case you couldn’t tell, this page was written by me, not AI. I use AI to work faster, not to make up bs. If something’s not right, tell me. I want to hear what you think, and I want to make the tools better.
Thanks for reading.
The paperwork
The company’s called TradeEasy AI Ltd, company number 17466004, registered in England and Wales. It was set up on 17 September 2026, so yes, it’s new, and I’d rather you knew.
Questions go to help@tradeeasy.uk, or straight to me at sean@tradeeasy.uk. The privacy policy and the terms are here.
That’s the short version.
This is me
I live in West Sussex. My dad, Clive, is a first and second fix carpenter. Over the years I’ve done a ton of work with him and various other tradesmen.
The other half of me is software. I started as an apprentice web developer in October 2014, when I was 18, and I’ve built websites and software for a living ever since.
I’ve worked for a few companies since: a small software company that was bought in 2022, a firm that invests money, and most recently a streaming service, where I ran the team that built it.
I always wanted to put the two together, which leads me on to this. Since my last contract finished back in April 2025, I’ve been back on site and thinking about what I can build, and here it is.
And from what I can find, there’s nothing else out there right now like it.
I’ve had the idea for a while, I just wasn’t sure how to get started. Then I started building with AI, and I could build quick enough to test many ideas and make it happen.
What I see
Work comes by word of mouth. Then whoever was given your name looks you up. They find an old page, somebody else with your name, or nothing, and the job goes to the next name on the list. You never hear about it.
AI can write you a website now. Left to itself, it’ll give you twelve years’ experience and a Gas Safe number you never had. The key is making it tell the truth.
And yes, having Facebook and Instagram is great.
Picture this. You take a photo of the job on your phone and send it to TradeEasy. The words get written for you. You read them in the van, press publish, and it’s on your website before you get home.
Later, the same photo will go to your Facebook and Instagram too. That part isn’t built yet, so it isn’t for sale.
It’s cheap because it can be. There isn’t a catch.
What I’m trying to do
I want anybody to be able to make a website and get their name out there, however good they are with technology. I want a level playing field. People should pick you on the photos of your work, not on whether you’ve got a website, or whether the other guy’s looks prettier than yours.
One day I’d like TradeEasy to do everything your business needs online: your website, your social media, your adverts, and help with calls, messages, quotes and the books. Today it does your website. The rest isn’t built, so it isn’t for sale.
How I’m building it
It’s just me, full-time, and I build TradeEasy with AI. I write the rules down, and automatic checks make sure the code follows them.
Whenever the AI writes for your website, the rule against making things up goes with it.
Safety precautions
If you’re wondering whether something one person is building this quickly is safe to put your business on, here’s what’s in place.
Every part of TradeEasy has checks behind it: the builder, the editor, paying, publishing, and the websites themselves. Before any change goes live, every check runs. If a single one fails, the change doesn’t go out. Nobody has to remember to run them, and there is no other way for a change to reach the live site.
When a change passes, the new version is set up alongside the one that’s running, not over the top of it. It has to serve a website properly before it’s switched on. If it can’t, it isn’t switched on. It’s checked again straight after it’s switched on, and if that check fails, the old version is put back automatically.
The same check runs every day, whether or not anything’s changed.
If something still goes wrong while somebody’s using TradeEasy, I’m told the moment it happens, with what went wrong and where. I fix it, and a check goes in with the fix, so the same thing can’t come back.
None of this touches your website. A change to TradeEasy never changes a word of yours. Only you do that, by pressing publish.
I’m moving quickly. The checks are what let me.
What I work to
- Never invent a fact about a real business.
- Nothing goes on the internet till you press publish.
- Say the price. Say what it becomes. Say when.
- Leave a gap and ask, rather than guess.
- A button never offers what it can’t do.
- Do the job, then leave you alone.
- When something goes wrong, go the way you can come back from.
- Be early, and say so.
What I’m not
An agency. It’s written from your answers.A directory. It’s your own web address, with nobody else on it.A promise about Google.Nobody can promise where you’ll come up on Google, and I won’t. What I can promise is that your website is built so Google can read it properly, and I’m working on tools that help bring people to it.A contract.Cancel any month.A team of forty.Just me.
What I won’t do
These three are on the front page, and I sign them.
- Nothing on your website is made up.
- Nothing goes on the internet until you have read it and pressed publish.
- Stop paying and the site comes down, not away.
And the rest:
- I won’t sell your details, or your customers’.
- I won’t pretend anybody’s a customer. The people in my adverts are made up, and they say so.
