Terms
Last updated 15 October 2026The agreement between you and us when you use TradeEasy, kept as short and plain as we can.
If anything’s unclear, ask us at help@tradeeasy.uk before you pay.
1. Who we are
TradeEasy is run by TradeEasy AI Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17466004), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, ICO registration number ZC254457. “We” and “us” means that company; “you” means the person or business using TradeEasy.
2. What TradeEasy is
TradeEasy builds a website for your trade business. You answer a few questions, our AI writes the words, and you can look at the result straight away. When you subscribe, your website goes on the internet at its own address, and you can change it whenever you like from your account.
We’re a service for businesses. If you’re buying as a consumer — mainly for something other than your trade, business, craft or profession — see section 14, because the law gives you some rights these terms can’t take away.
3. Trying it before you pay
You can build a preview without an account and without paying. We show a preview for 7 days, and you can save it by making an account until we delete it, with its photos, 30 days after you made it. A preview isn’t published: it isn’t at your website’s address and search engines are asked not to list it, but anyone you give its link to can look at it.
4. Your account
- You sign in with a link or code we email you, or with Google, Facebook or Apple. Keep access to that email address to yourself — anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- When your account signs in on a browser it hasn’t used before, we email you, with a link to lock your account if it wasn’t you — every time except the very first.
- One account holds one website.
- Tell us straight away at help@tradeeasy.uk if you think somebody else has got into your account. You can sign out every device yourself from Your account.
- We only go into your account when you say so. If you ask us to change your website, you can let us into your account for one hour to make the change: by ticking the box on the help form, by pressing Approve in an email we send you, or by telling us yourself, in person, on the phone or in a message. When you tell us, we write down how and when you said yes and what to, before we open your account. However you say yes, we email you when we open your account and again when the hour is over. The hour starts when we open your account, a yes we haven’t used runs out after 7 days, and another hour needs another yes.
- While we’re in, we change your website’s draft. We can’t rename it, move its address, change your email, your billing or your sign-in, and we can’t see your enquiries or feedback. We publish the changes only if, when you told us yes, you also told us they can go live; otherwise they wait for you to publish them. We never pay for you: if your website isn’t on the internet yet, it goes on when you subscribe. You see a bar saying we’re in, with End now, and our last email says what we changed and anything we put live.
5. Your website and what’s on it
It’s your website and your words. You’re responsible for what it says.
Check what the AI writes before it goes live. We tell our AI not to invent anything about your business — no years in business, qualifications, guarantees, reviews, ratings or prices you didn’t give us — and we check requests for pictures before we make them. But AI can get things wrong, and you know your business; we don’t.
When it goes live. Your website goes on the internet when you first subscribe, with whatever you’ve got ready at that moment. After that, a change goes live only when you press Publish, or when we press it for you inside an hour you gave us, and only if you told us the changes can go live (section 4). Our AI never publishes anything on its own. (Feedback from your customers, once you’ve switched it on, is the one thing that appears without you pressing Publish — section 12.)
Pictures on your website.
- Photos and logos you upload must be yours, or ones you have permission to use. Photos of past jobs must be of work you actually did.
- Until you add your own, some pictures on your website are stock photographs of your trade — pictures of the kind of work you do, not of your work. Your editor labels every picture so you know which is which. We never put a stock photo on your past jobs.
- We make a picture only when you ask, up to 10 an hour. We won’t make one showing a qualification badge, a rating, an award, a price or contact details, and we’ll tell you why.
What you let us do with it. You give us permission to store, copy, resize, display and host what you put on TradeEasy, for as long as you use it, so that we can run your website. We don’t use your photos or words for anything else. That permission ends when you delete your account, apart from copies in backups until they’re overwritten.
What you mustn’t put on it. Anything unlawful, anything that infringes somebody else’s rights, anything that pretends you’re somebody you’re not, and any claim about your business that isn’t true — such as a qualification or membership you don’t hold. If your website breaks this section, we may take it off the internet and we’ll tell you why.
6. Your website’s address
- Your address is made from your business name, like daves-plumbing.tradeeasy.uk. The tradeeasy.uk domain is ours, and so is the right to decide who uses each address on it; you’re using yours while you have a website with us.
- If you rename your business, the address follows. For 7 days after your website first goes live the address can’t move, and after a move, your old address is kept for you for 90 days — nobody else can take it, and it sends visitors on to your new one. After that it goes on sending them on until somebody else takes it; we’ll email you if that happens. You can only keep one old address at a time.
- Some addresses are kept back for our own use and can’t be given out.
7. Paying
- Get online costs £19 a month, or £190 a year. We’re not registered for VAT, so that is the whole price and nothing is added at the checkout.
- You pay through Stripe’s own secure page. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
- Your price won’t go up for at least 6 months from when you subscribe, and if you pay yearly, not during the year you’ve paid for.
- If a payment fails, your website stays up while Stripe tries your card again, and we’ll show you on your billing screen how to update it. If the payment still hasn’t gone through when Stripe stops trying, your subscription ends and your website comes off the internet.
- Other plans are shown as coming soon. They can’t be bought, and nothing in these terms promises when or whether they’ll arrive.
8. Cancelling
- Cancel any time from Billing. You won’t be charged again.
- Your website stays on the internet until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then comes off. We keep it in your account, so if you subscribe again, it goes back up as it was.
- You can change your mind and keep your subscription at any time before the end of the period, from the same screen.
- Cancelling doesn’t refund the period you’re in, except under the 14-day money-back below.
9. The 14-day money-back
We offer this because we’d rather you tried TradeEasy than worried about it. It isn’t a legal right — the law doesn’t give businesses one — it’s our promise, and here’s exactly what it covers:
- If you ask within 14 days of your first payment, we’ll cancel your subscription straight away and refund that first payment in full — monthly or yearly.
- Ask by emailing help@tradeeasy.uk, or by deleting your account inside those 14 days (section 11), which refunds it automatically.
- Your website comes off the internet when we cancel.
- It covers your first payment only, never a renewal, and once per business.
- A payment that’s already been refunded isn’t refunded twice.
We may stop offering the money-back to new subscribers in future. If you’ve already made your first payment, the 14 days you had still apply.
10. If we build it for you
Rather than answer the questions yourself, you can pay us to build your website for you: We build it for you, for £129 one-off — our early customer price; the standard price is £199. You order it from our help page and pay on Stripe’s page before we start, and Stripe’s receipt is your receipt from us too.
- What we build from. What you tell us on the order form, and your current website if you give us one — which you may only do if its words and photos are yours to use. Section 5 applies to the result as it does to any other website here: it’s your website and your words, check what the AI wrote before it goes live, and nothing about your business is invented.
- Your account. We make an account for you to hold the website while we build it, and we don’t email that account until the website is ready. Then we email you a link: log in with the address you gave us, look it over, and press Put it live when you’re happy. From then on it’s your account, like anyone else’s. If the address you gave us already has a TradeEasy account, we can’t build a second website for it (section 4): we’ll get in touch, and if we can’t go ahead, we refund you in full.
- Your first month of Get online is included. It starts on the day we hand the website over, not the day you pay, on the card you paid with. After that it’s £19 a month until you cancel, with the same price promise and the same cancelling rules as anyone else (sections 7 and 8). Cancel inside the included month and you pay nothing more.
- Your money back before we start. If you change your mind before we’ve started building, email help@tradeeasy.uk and we refund the £129 in full.
- Your money back within 14 days of us handing it over. If you don’t want the website, email help@tradeeasy.uk within 14 days of our hand-over email: we refund the £129 in full, to the card you paid with, and delete the website and the account. Like the money-back above, it’s our promise rather than a legal right, and a payment already refunded isn’t refunded twice.
- After those 14 days the £129 isn’t refunded. Your first monthly payment, when the included month ends, is a first payment like anyone else’s, so the 14-day money-back (section 9) covers it.
- Your Google Business Profile. We set up your Google Business Profile with you, too: Google's own free listing for your business, and yours to keep. Google checks it's really you, so that one step is yours. The profile is Google’s and free, we’re not Google, and what you pay us for is our help setting it up — part of the package, nothing extra. We promise nothing about where or whether Google shows your business.
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself from Your account → Delete my account. The screen tells you exactly what goes and what we keep before you confirm.
- Your website comes off the internet straight away and is deleted, with its words, photos and the enquiries sent through it.
- If you’re paying, your subscription is cancelled there and then, and the period you’re in isn’t refunded — unless you’re inside the 14-day money-back, when your first payment is refunded in full.
- Some records we have to keep, and our privacy policy says which, and for how long.
Download a copy of your data first if you want one: Your account → Download your data.
12. Enquiries, feedback and visitors
Enquiries. When somebody sends a message through your website, we email it to the address on your website and keep it in your account. To protect your inbox, a website takes at most 20 enquiries an hour; anyone turned away is shown your phone number instead, where your website has one. If our email fails, the enquiry is still kept in your account. Only a website that’s live on the internet takes enquiries.
Feedback. You can switch on feedback for your website from your TradeEasy account, and it goes live when you publish, like any other change. After that, feedback your customers confirm appears without you pressing anything, and our AI never publishes it — it can only hold feedback for a person to look at. Our How feedback works page, which every website links to, tells your customers how it works. These rules are for you:
- All genuine feedback is published, good and bad. You can hide feedback only for one of the reasons on that page — it isn’t about your business, it’s abusive, it shares someone’s personal information, or it’s a repeat — and you choose which. You can never hide feedback because it’s negative, because you disagree with it, because the problem has since been put right, or because the writer didn’t pay. Every hide is recorded with its reason, and we look at how often each business hides feedback.
- You mustn’t write feedback about your own business or have your staff, family or anyone else write it for you; offer or give anything in return for feedback — money, a discount, a gift or a prize draw; or press someone who left feedback to change or remove it. We don’t show you the email addresses of the people who leave feedback; if one of them needs contacting about it, we do that.
- Some feedback only we decide: feedback that isn’t genuine, that somebody was rewarded for without saying so, that’s illegal, or that contains threats, harassment, hate, sexual content, support for terrorism, or encouragement of suicide or self-harm. You can report feedback to us from your account, and our decision stands.
- If you break these rules, we can show feedback you hid again, switch feedback off on your website for 6 months, and treat a serious or repeated breach as a breach of these terms (section 16).
- Your customers’ information. For feedback, you and we are joint controllers: you decide to take feedback on your website, and we decide how it’s collected, checked, published and kept. We tell the people who leave feedback what the law requires (on the form, on the How feedback works page and in our privacy policy), answer their requests to see, correct or delete it, keep it secure, and delete it on time. You pass us any request you get about feedback straight away, and use what you see of it only as this section allows.
Visitor figures. We count visits to your website without cookies and without storing anybody’s internet address, and show you the figures in your account. Our privacy policy explains this to your visitors, and what happens to an enquiry to the people who write to you.
13. Keeping the service running
We work to keep TradeEasy and your website running, and every hour we check that the system serving customers’ websites is working. But we can’t promise it will never be interrupted — for maintenance, a fault, or a problem at one of the companies we rely on — and we don’t offer a guaranteed level of uptime.
We may change or improve how TradeEasy works. We won’t take away something you’re paying for in the middle of a period you’ve paid for.
14. If you’re a consumer
If you’re buying mainly for something other than your trade or business, you have rights under consumer law — including, for a contract made online, a 14-day right to cancel — and nothing in these terms takes them away. Our money-back (section 9) refunds your first payment in full anyway.
15. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
- We’re not responsible for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
- Otherwise, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.
16. Ending this agreement
- You can end it at any time by cancelling (section 8) or deleting your account (section 11).
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we’ll tell you why. If we close it for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund any period you’ve paid for and not had.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed.
18. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts decide any dispute. If you’re a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts.
