Websites for plasterers
A wall you skimmed on Monday is painted by Friday, and from then on nobody can tell it was you. Your website is where the finish gets seen.

Catch it before the paint goes on
A freshly skimmed wall with the light raking across it shows how flat it is better than anything we could write. So does a ceiling taken back to the joists and boarded.
Snap it on your phone before you pack up. Drop it into your past jobs with a line, a back bedroom skim or a front of house rendered. The write-up is ours to do.
Inside walls and outside render
The person whose ceiling has cracked wants a different answer from the person thinking about rendering the whole house. Your services list keeps the two apart, so each finds their own.
The builder ticks a plasterer’s usual work to start with, skimming, re-plastering, rendering and boarding, coving and damp wall repairs among them. Screeding and Venetian plaster are there if they’re yours.
Small patches and whole houses
Some plasterers are glad of a patch repair between bigger jobs and some would rather not. Untick what you don’t want and the phone won’t ring for it.
If there’s work you turn down altogether, Artex removal perhaps, there’s a question for that too, and it never appears on your website.

Step three of the builder starts plasterers with these. Keep them, untick them, or add your own.

The plasterer we made up
To show the shape of one, we made up Mitchelhill Plastering, in Paisley, and built its website with our own builder. Its past jobs:
- Living room wall skimmed, Renfrew
- Artex ceiling skimmed over, Linwood
- Ceiling patched after a leak, Johnstone
- Cornice run in a tenement flat, Paisley
- Chimney breast re-plastered, Elderslie
Questions
- Do I need loads of photos to start?
- No. Until you have your own, your services show our pictures of that kind of work, and your editor says which are ours. Swap them as your jobs come in.
- What if I only work for builders?
- Then write your past jobs as a builder would want to read them, the site and the scale of it. The towns you cover and a number to ring still go on.
How it works
Three simple stepsTell us about your business
Your trade, your town, the jobs you take on. Rough answers are fine: we do the writing.
We write and build it
A website written from your answers and nothing else, laid out in one of our designs, that reads right on a phone. No logo? We’ll draw you one from your business name.
You look, change, decide
Change anything, in your own words. Nothing goes live until you subscribe.
