Websites for painters and decorators
Letting a decorator in means living round them for a few days. People want to see a clean finish, and they want to know the carpet will still be clean when you leave.

Free to look. £19 a month to go live, for six months, then £29.
The finish and the house you leave
Sharp cutting in at the ceiling, wallpaper matched at the seams, gloss with no runs: that’s what a customer looks for in your photos. Write how you protect floors and furniture in a line beside a service, and it goes on word for word.
Photograph a room once the sheets are off and the light is good. A hallway before and after, or a front door you’ve brought back, shows the change without anybody having to describe it.
Inside, outside, and the bits in between
The builder starts you on a decorator’s usual list, interior and exterior painting, wallpapering, woodwork and gloss, plaster repairs and spray finishing. Feature walls and varnishing are further down.
If you’d rather not climb for exterior work or do spray finishing, untick them. Work you’d turn down completely gets its own question, and your website never mentions it.
Booked ahead, so they come back to you
Decorating is often booked weeks out, around a move or before a family visit. The person deciding might read your website on a Sunday and ring on Monday morning.
They can tap to ring you or send a message to your inbox, and the towns you work in are named so nobody wonders if you’d travel.

Questions
- Can it say I help people choose colours?
- Yes, if you do. Colour advice is one of the services you can tick. Add a sentence on how you go about it, samples on the wall or a chat over the chart, and that’s what people read.
- My photos are on my phone. Is that good enough?
- Yes. Send them from your phone straight into your editor, and we size them for your website. Your past jobs only ever show photos that you took.
How it works
Three simple stepsTell us about your business
Your trade, your town, the jobs you take on. Rough answers are fine: we do the writing.
We write and build it
A website written from your answers and nothing else, laid out in one of our designs, that reads right on a phone. No logo? We’ll draw you one from your business name.
You look, change, decide
Change anything, in your own words. Nothing goes live until you subscribe.
