Websites for gardeners
A gardener is somebody people let through the side gate every fortnight. Before they do that, they want to see who you are, what you’ll do and whether their road is on your round.

A regular visit, not a one-off
Gardening work tends to come back round: the lawn all summer, the hedges when they’ve grown out, the leaves in autumn. Your website can say you take on regular gardens as well as one-off tidies.
Write how you like to work beside a service, weekly, fortnightly or by the job. Your line goes on as you wrote it, so nobody rings expecting something else.
Your round, named
Gardening is local, and people want to know you’ll come to their village before they ask. Give us your town and every place you cover, and each one is listed on your website.
When the round grows, add the next village from your editor, and it goes live when you press Publish. A village you’ve stopped going to comes off the same way.
Photos of gardens you look after
We don’t have stock photos of gardening yet, and we won’t borrow somebody else’s. Until you add yours, your services are words alone.
A striped lawn, a hedge cut square, a border cleared and edged. Take one on your phone before you pack the van, and send it in from your editor.
Your jobs, ticked for you
Step three of the builder starts gardeners with these. Keep them, untick them, or add your own.
Ticked to start with
- Lawn mowing
- Hedge trimming
- Garden maintenance
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Garden clearance
On the list to add
- Leaf clearance
- Planting
- Lawn treatment
- Strimming
- Patio cleaning
- Green waste removal
Questions
- Can it say I take away the green waste?
- If you do, tick green waste removal and it goes on your services. If you leave it for the council bin, leave it unticked and your website won’t offer it.
- I’m not a landscaper. Will it make me sound like one?
- No. You’re a gardener on the builder’s list, so the words start from upkeep, not patios. If you do build the odd thing, add it yourself.
How it works
Three simple stepsTell us about your business
Your trade, your town, the jobs you take on. Rough answers are fine: we do the writing.
We write and build it
A website written from your answers and nothing else, laid out in one of our designs, that reads right on a phone. No logo? We’ll draw you one from your business name.
You look, change, decide
Change anything, in your own words. Nothing goes live until you subscribe.
