Websites for electricians
The person ringing an electrician may not know what’s wrong, only that the lights keep tripping. Your website meets them there, in plain words, and gives them a quick way to reach you.
A few minutes.
Free to look. £19 a month to go live, for six months, then £29.
Said the way a homeowner says it
You might call it a consumer unit. Your customer calls it the fuse box, and that’s what they type when the trip switch won’t stay up.
Tell us your jobs however they come to you, shorthand and all. We write them up so the person reading understands what you do, without dumbing down the work.
Small jobs, big jobs, and the ones you’d skip
The same website has to work for an extra socket in the kitchen and a full rewire before somebody moves in. The builder starts you on an electrician’s usual list, and you keep what you take on.
EV chargers, outdoor lighting, smoke alarms and inspection reports each sit on that list to tick or leave. Anything you’d rather not be rung about can be kept off altogether.
If much of your work is for landlords or letting agents, say so when you describe your jobs, and we’ll write it in.
Tidy work is worth showing
A neat board, straight runs of cable and a ceiling put back as it was tell a customer more than a list does. Photograph the finished job before you pack up.
Add it to your past jobs with a line about where it was, and we write the rest. Until you’ve added your own, the pictures on your services are ours, and your editor says so.
Your jobs, ticked for you
Step three of the builder starts electricians with these. Keep them, untick them, or add your own.
Ticked to start with
- Fuse box upgrades
- Rewiring
- Emergency call-outs
- Fault finding
- Sockets & lighting
- EICR certificates
On the list to add
- EV charger installation
- Outdoor lighting
- Smoke alarms
- Electric showers
- Garden power
- PAT testing
The electrician we made up
To show the shape of one, we made up Rawnsley Electrical, in Horsforth, and built its website with our own builder. Its past jobs:
- New consumer unit, Rawdon
- Rewire before a new kitchen, Headingley
- Downlights in a kitchen-diner, Guiseley
- Car charger on the drive, Yeadon
Questions
- Will it put a scheme’s logo or a membership on my site?
- No. We never add a badge, a membership or anything about you that you didn’t give us. Nothing on your website is made up.
- Can customers send me a message instead of ringing?
- Yes. Your website has a form for an enquiry, and what they write comes straight to your inbox. You can add a WhatsApp number as well, if that’s how you like to talk.
How it works
Three simple stepsTell us about your business
Your trade, your town, the jobs you take on. Rough answers are fine: we do the writing.
We write and build it
A website written from your answers and nothing else, laid out in one of our designs, that reads right on a phone. No logo? We’ll draw you one from your business name.
You look, change, decide
Change anything, in your own words. Nothing goes live until you subscribe.
